  1. The company is in a very bad shape. It is under huge loss for the past 6 years. It is totally in doldrums. The company’s market share is reducing very fast, it is unable to face the competition, still people working in the same Government mentality. One of the main strength of the company is the Broad band, none of the incumbent could match BSNL’s quality in the Broad band segment, but the giant entrant Reliance Jio is having big eye on this segment, which will definitely affect BSNLs monopoly in this segment.
The qualified people working in the company are not getting a fair deal. They are treated at par with all non-qualified departmental promotees. Even the 2003 batch recruitment people not got promotion even after completion of 11 years. That is the beauty of this company. The company is also insisting Bond for 5 years, for a huge amount along with training cost and interest on the same. So at this juncture it is better for the qualified people to avoid this company. The huge loss making MTNL may be merged with BSNL which will be a further great strain on this ailing company.
