3.a) Explain protocol architecture of IEEE 802.11 briefly.
b) Compare frequency hopping and direct sequence spread spectrum techniques.
4. What is near/far effect of wireless networks. Compare SDMA and FDMA multiple access techniques.
5.a) What are the entities of mobile I P.
b) Explain I P packet delivery to and from the mobile node.
6.a) What is indirect TCP? What are its advantages and disadvantages.
b) Describe retransmit and fast recovery mechanism.
7. Discuss routing algorithm and security in MANETS.
8. Write notes on:
a) Wireless application protocol (WAP).
b) Caching invalidation mechanism.
