1.a) Obtain the relation ship between Co-channel interference and
system capacity.
b) If a signed to interference ratio of 15 dβ is required for satisfactory
forward channel performance what is the frequency reuse factor
and cluster size. That should be used for maximum capacity if the
pass loss exponent is a) n=4 b) n=3 ? Assume there are six co-
channel cells in the first ties and all of them are at the same
distance. Use suitable approximations.

6. Explain about:
a) Infrared Lan
b) Sprect spectrum Lan
c) Narrow band microwave Lan and discuss about their
application.
d) Give a 802.11 frame format of MAC frame.

7.a) Explain about Blue tooth Protocol Architecture and Protocal stack.
b) Give blue tooth Radio specifications.

8. Write short notes on:
a) GPRS
b) SMS, LMS, MMS in GSM.
