1.a) Define class and object. Explain above with C++ program as
example.
b) Write the differences between object oriented programming and
procedure oriented programming.

2.a) What is a constructor? Is it mandatory to use constructor in a C++
class? Can we have more than one constructor in a C++ class? If
yes, explain the need for such a situation.
b) Write a C++ program to overload the multiplication operator “∗” to
multiply the two complex numbers.

3.a) What is the use of exceptional handling? Explain the keywords
used to handle exceptions in C++ with the help of an example.
b) Write a C++ program to raise an exception when an user entered
string is not equivalent to a string “INDIA”.

4.a) Explain all the types of inheritance?
b) What is super keyword? In which situations we can use super
keyword.

5.a) Explain the features of JAVA. How Java is different from C++.
b) Explain the concept of multidimensional arrays in JAVA.

6.a) Explain the bitwise operators in JAVA.
b) What is inner class? Illustrate with an example.

7.a) Define package. How it will provide access protection?
b) Define interface. What is the use of interface? Write the
differences between class and interface in JAVA.

8.a) In how many ways we can create thread in JAVA? Explain them in
detail.
b) Write an applet program to display “good morning”/”good
afternoon”/”good evening” according to system time.
