DSC 2012 Exam Paper Pattern,Marks Weightage

As known the government of Andhra Pradesh has released recruitment notification for recruiting teachers in huge number(21,343 posts) in various categories of School Assistants,Secondary Grade Teachers,Physical Education Teachers,Language Pundits through APTET & DSC teacher eligibility tests.

According to the previous DSC notifications the exam pattern,number of questions,duration of the exam is as follows ::

AP DSC Teachers Recruitment shall be through a selection process consisting of Written Test.This written examinations comprises of 200 multiple choice questions each question carrying half a mark.Therefore the total marks used to be 10o (80% marks weightage to DSC :: 20% marks weightage to APTET).The time duration was 3 hours. But as per the new guidelines 2012,given by the ministry of Education Department the DSC paper pattern & Syllabus is as follows ::

And comparing to previous DSC papers,the Question paper pattern is likely to be changed from this year.Earlier DSC paper had 200 questions,each question carrying half mark.But as per the new guidelines 2012,DSC question paper will have 160 questions each carrying half a mark .Therefore the total mark for DSC exam has been reduced to 80 marks.

Out of these 80marks ,20% of weightage is given to AP Teachers Eligibility Test APTET & the remaining 80% weightage is given to the DSC Exam.

Also ,the duration of the examination has been reduced from 180 minutes to 150 minutes.

However,the details of allocation of marks for written test and weight-age to different aspects for different categories of posts shall beĀ  as decided by the Government from time to time.
