JMET stands for Joint Management Entrance Test. It is the entrance exam to get admission in Post Graduate programs in Management in IISc Bangalore & 6 IITs which are in Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur, Kharagpur & Roorkee. JMET is just a qualifying exam. Every one who wish to get admission, has to apply separately for the institute they want to apply for.
JMET Eligibility Criteria : Every institute has its own eligibility criteria fro admission in various courses. In general, the candidates who have completed their graduation or are in Final year of the qualifying exam can apply for JMET.
JMET Exam Pattern : The JMET exam is a written exam type. All the questions will be multiple choice types i.e each question will be given 4 choices & you gave to choose the correct answer & mark it accordingly. Time allotted will be 3 hours. No. of questions will be 120. There will be 4 sections carrying 30 marks each. The sections are – Verbal Communication, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation. For each Wrong answer, negative marking will be there.
How to Prepare for JMET : This is the question which every candidates has in mind while applying for it. But you need not to worry. Just go through the previous years question papers & JMET Sample papers. This will be helpful in knowing the pattern of questions asked as well as it will tell you your level of preparation so that you can put more effort & overcome your back log.
