UPSC civil services preliminary examination for the year 2011
UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) is inviting applications for civil service preliminary examination-2011 for recruitment of 880 posts.
Eligibility criteria:
Educational Qualification: Degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualiflication.
Age limit: Candidate should be between 21 and 30 years of age as on 1st August,2011.
Important Dates:
Civil services (Preliminary):
Date of notification: 19-02-2011
Last date for receipt of Applications: 21-03-2011 (Monday)
Date of preliminary examination: 12-06-2011 (Sunday)
Candidates who qualify in the preliminary round are called for mains examination
Civil services (Mains)
Date of commencement of exam: 29-10-2011 (Saturday)
Application Process:
Offline process: Candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 30/- only. Or published in the Employment News.
All ooffline applications must reach the ” Controller of Examination,Union public sevice commission,Dholpur house,Shahjahan road,New Delhi-110069″ either by hand or post/speed post or by courier on or before 21-03-2011
Online Submission : Candidates can also apply Online at upsconline.nic.in upto 21-03-2011.
Those who are applying online need to deposit Rs.50/- in any of the SBI branches
