IES,Indain Engineering services Exam a combined competitive examination for recruitment to the Services/posts under Civil/Mecahnical/Electrical Engineering/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering categories will be held by the Union Public Service Commission once in a year at mission at AGARTALA, AHMEDABAD, AIZAWL, ALIGARH, ALLAHABAD,BANGALORE, BAREILLY, BHOPAL,CHANDIGARH, CHENNAI, CUTTACK,DEHRADUN, DELHI, DHARWAD, DISPUR,GANGTOK, HYDERABAD, IMPHAL,ITANAGAR, JAIPUR, JAMMU, JORHAT,KOCHI (COCHIN), KOHIMA, KOLKATA,LUCKNOW, MADURAI, MUMBAI,NAGPUR, PANAJI (GOA), PATNA, PORTBLAIR, RAIPUR, RANCHI, SAMBALPUR,SHILLONG, SHIMLA, SRINAGAR,THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, TIRUPATI,UDAIPUR AND VISHAKHAPATNAM commencing
on 15-June-2012.
The centers and the date of holding the examination as mentioned above are liable to be changed at the discretion of the commission.

- Tentative Date of UPSC IES Exam 2012 :: 15-June-2012
- Date of UPSC IES Exam 2012 Notification Commencement :: 25-Feb-2012
- Closing Date for Online Reistration of Applications :: 25-Feb-2012
- Closing Date for receipt of Applications (Offline) :: 26-Mar-2012
However,for detailed notification including eligibity criteria,application process etc all IES aspirants need to wait until the commencement of official Notification (i.e, till 25-02-2012) by UPSC officials.
